Beard Balm vs Beard Oil
You may have seen that we recently launched a Beard Oil. If you find yourself wondering what the differences are between our Beard Oil and our ever popular Beard Balm, then keep on reading to learn more about them and how you can incorporate both of them into your routine.
Let’s start with our Beard Balm. Our Beard Balm is a solid, and to create it we use the following ingredients: Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Beeswax, Jojoba Oil, Almond Oil, Hazelnut Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Argan Oil and Essential Oil Blend.
Not only are the ingredients great for moisturizing and conditioning both your facial hair and your skin, but the beeswax helps with taming and holding your hair without weighing you down. Our Beard Balm is great for beards and mustaches of all lengths, but it works really well for those that are sporting a little bit longer facial hair.
For best results with our Beard Balm, use the back of your thumbnail to take a small amount out of the tub and rub it between your two hands to warm it up at bit, this will allow it to disperse throughout your beard more evenly. Using a beard comb after our Beard Balm is also not a bad idea to help with shaping how you’d like your beard to look. Due to the solid nature of our Beard Balm, it doesn’t absorb as quickly as our Beard Oil, so it provides moisture, conditioning and hold all day long.
Now for our Beard Oil, as the name states it is an oil in liquid form. While the ingredients are similar to our Beard Balm, there are a few differences: Shea Butter Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Hazelnut Oil, Almond Oil, Milk Thistle Seed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Argan oil, Essential Oil Blend and Vitamin E.
Again, these ingredients are great for moisturizing and conditioning both your hair and your skin, but the milk thistle seed oil is rich in antioxidants which can help with beard strength and prevent breakage. Our Beard Oil is great for those that have just a little scruff to those that have a long flowing beard. This also helps cut back on any itchiness you might be experiencing.
To get the best results with our Beard Oil, drip a small amount onto one hand, rub hands together and work it through your facial hair. Although this is an oil, our formulation has great absorption so it won’t leave you feeling greasy.
Do you need to choose just one or the other? Absolutely not! In fact, for maximum beard benefits we recommend using both the Beard Oil and the Beard Balm in your routine. While we are on the topic of routines, next week’s blog will go into more detail about a super simple yet beneficial beard care routine.
We make our products so you can go confidently wherever your day takes you!
