40 Acres & A Mule Project

If you are familiar with the American Provenance story, you might remember that it was started on our founder's 4th generation, retired dairy farm. In fact, it was the hard work and dedication of Kyle's grandfather, Delmar Zentner, that inspired Kyle to start his own business.

"My grandfather was my hero. He never had the opportunity to attend college but was easily the wisest man I’ve ever known. Most folks don’t often think of small-scale family farmers as businessmen, but everything that I’ve ever really needed to know about running a business was learned on 120 acres of paradise in the rolling hills of southern Wisconsin."

We were introduced to Adrian Lipscombe and her 40 Acres and A Mule project through one of our retailers in LaCrosse, WI. After reading about the project and her mission of sustainability and legacy through farming, we knew this was a project we wanted to support with our connection to Wisconsin farming.
